Information Society Metrics and Analysis
Statistics Canada has been monitoring and measuring the Information Society
for some time. Whether the issue is the size, growth and significance
of the information and communications technology (ICT) sector, the penetration
and use of ICTs by households and individuals, or business and government
connectivity and e-commerce, efforts have been made to shed light on these
topics by way of sound quantification and analysis. In addition to sharing
its survey models and analytical work, Statistics Canada offers training
and specialized services in the areas of Connectedness and the Information
Society.
